1. Who we are
SATÉLITE DE ESTÓRIAS, LDA develops and publishes apps, games, websites, and browser extensions. This policy explains how information is handled in our products unless a specific product page or in-app notice says otherwise.
Questions about privacy can be sent to welcome@satelstories.com.
2. Information stored on your device
Our apps and games may store settings and other local state on your device. Games may also store progress, scores, and similar gameplay state. Some products keep additional data needed to operate that product (for example economy data for daily rewards and virtual items) on our backend. If real-money purchases are offered, related transaction records are also stored there. Removing the app normally removes local data, but does not automatically delete backend records.
3. Information processed by service providers
Depending on the product, we may use the services below. Each app or game uses only the providers needed for that product.
Firebase Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand app launches, screens viewed, in-app events, settings changes, and general engagement. Games may also record gameplay events, scores, and progression. Firebase may also process an app-instance identifier, approximate region, and device and app information.
PostHog
We also send the same product and engagement events to PostHog so we can analyze usage in more detail. PostHog may process event names and properties, a technical distinct identifier, device and app information, and approximate region. The company website and the Dumpling Merger game website send page views and store-button clicks to the same project. Events go to PostHog's European Union region through our first-party analytics proxy. Each event includes a surface label so we can tell the company site, the game site, the game itself, and the browser extension apart.
Firebase Crashlytics
We use Firebase Crashlytics in non-debug builds to diagnose crashes and stability problems. It may process crash traces, diagnostic information, device and app details, Firebase installation identifiers, and Crashlytics installation identifiers.
Sentry
Products that use Sentry send error reports to diagnose failures. Reports may include error messages, stack traces, technical breadcrumbs, browser or device information, and product version.
Local notifications
Some products can schedule local reminders that are delivered by the device operating system. We do not use a remote push-notification service or collect a push registration token for those reminders. Notification permission can be changed at any time in the device settings.
Google AdMob
Some products show advertisements, such as interstitial ads at natural breaks and optional rewarded videos. Where ads are available, Google Mobile Ads may process IP address and approximate location, device or advertising identifiers where permitted, ads viewed, interactions with ads, diagnostic information, and performance data. Where a product grants an in-app reward for watching an ad, the reward is granted only after the ad provider reports completion.
Firebase Authentication and Cloudflare
Some products use an anonymous Firebase user identifier and a Cloudflare-hosted backend to keep account or economy state without asking for a name or email address. That backend may process the identifier, balances, owned items, and similar product state. If real-money purchases are offered, it also processes purchase transaction records. Cloudflare may also process IP address, request metadata, and security logs when serving these requests.
App Store and Google Play purchases
In products that offer in-app purchases, Apple or Google processes payment details. We receive and retain the store, product, transaction identifier, purchase status, and granted items or virtual currency needed to validate a purchase and prevent duplicate grants. We do not receive full payment-card details.
We do not require your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos, or a named account to use the core features of our apps and games. Some products may collect an email address if you choose to join a waitlist, request a future feature, or contact us.
4. Why information is used
Information is used to operate our apps and games, remember local settings and, where applicable, progress or virtual balances, measure product and feature performance, fix crashes, prevent advertising abuse, display and measure optional ads where offered, process waitlist or support requests you submit, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Consent and advertising choices
Where required, products that show ads use Google's User Messaging Platform to request consent before consent-controlled analytics or advertising storage is enabled and before ads are requested. If you decline, consent-controlled storage and personalized advertising remain disabled. Limited technical processing or contextual ads may still occur where legally permitted.
When a privacy-options entry point is required, it is available in the app so you can revisit or withdraw your choice.
On iOS, products that show ads may request App Tracking Transparency permission before Google Mobile Ads accesses the device's advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, IDFA is unavailable and Google may show less personalized or contextual ads instead. Your choice does not restrict the product's core features.
6. Sharing
We share information with Google, PostHog, Sentry, and Cloudflare only as needed to provide Firebase, product analytics, error diagnostics, AdMob, backend hosting, security, and purchase validation in products that use those services. Apple and Google process native purchases through their stores. Satelite de Estorias does not directly sell personal information. Where applicable law defines personalized advertising disclosures as a sale or sharing of personal information, you can use the in-app privacy choices to opt out. Advertising partners may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Retention
Local app data remains on your device until it is reset or the app is removed. Backend and transaction records, where a product uses them, remain while needed to operate that product, validate purchases, prevent duplicate grants, resolve support requests, and meet financial or legal obligations. Waitlist emails are kept while needed to contact you about the requested feature or until you ask us to delete them. Third-party service data is retained according to our configured settings and each provider's applicable policies.
8. Children
Our apps and games are general-audience products and are not specifically directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal contact information.
9. International processing
Google, PostHog, Sentry, Cloudflare, Apple, and their infrastructure providers may process information in countries other than your own. PostHog analytics for our current apps, games, and websites are configured for PostHog's European Union region. Other transfers are handled under applicable data-protection terms and transfer mechanisms.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Local app data can be removed by resetting or uninstalling the app. To request access to or deletion of backend or waitlist data, contact welcome@satelstories.com.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Our lead authority in Portugal is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our apps, games, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when changes are published.
12. Third-party information
More information is available in Google's Privacy Policy, Firebase Privacy and Security documentation, PostHog's Privacy Policy, and Sentry's Privacy Policy.
13. Product-specific notes
Dumpling Squishy: Mystery Box browser extension
The extension stores mystery-box opening history, reminder history, reminder settings, and a random installation identifier locally in Chrome. Collection progress and streaks are calculated from opening history. PostHog receives extension views, mystery-box openings, collection progress, streaks, clicks, and reminder interactions, linked by that installation identifier rather than a named account. Sentry receives error reports when configured. The extension does not read visited websites or browsing history, or request your name or email. Daily reminders are generated locally and can be disabled in the album settings; this setting controls reminders, not analytics. Uninstalling the extension removes its local data.
The extension's use and transfer of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Extension data is used only to operate, measure, and improve the extension, not sold or used for personalized advertising.
Dumpling Merger
Dumpling Merger stores progress, scores, discovered dumplings, settings, power-up state, and cooldown times locally on your device. It uses an anonymous technical account and uploads economy data described above so crystal rewards, virtual items, and backgrounds are not controlled by local device storage. If real-money purchases are offered, verified purchases use the same backend. Gameplay and engagement events are sent to both Firebase Analytics and PostHog. The game shows interstitial advertisements at transitions between game runs, including entry into endless mode, and offers optional rewarded advertisements that can skip a power-up cooldown. If notifications are enabled, the game can remind the player about an available Daily Challenge or a recovered power-up. Reminder delivery is deferred during configured quiet hours.
TextClean
TextClean inspects and cleans pasted text on your device. Supported hidden-character cleanup and optional style replacements run locally and offline. Pasted or shared text is not sent to analytics, ads, crash reports, or a waitlist request. The app may show interstitial advertisements after you copy a result that actually changed, and it sends aggregate product events to Firebase Analytics and PostHog. If you choose to join the waitlist for a future online pass, only the email address and feature interest you submit are sent to our waitlist endpoint. Privacy choices, when required, are available from the first step and the in-app help screen.
